The old sweating of hands and feet is related to constitution and season. Traditional Chinese medicine considers that it may be related to damp heat or qi deficiency. Western medicine considers that it is related to mental factors, hormone levels, endocrine dysfunction, etc. Various factors cause increased sympathetic nerve impulse, increased acetylcholine secretion, enhanced sweat gland excitability and hyperhidrosis. It may also be due to increased sweat gland nerve tension, and enhanced sweating response to normal intensity of neurological and non-neurological stimuli. Treatment is generally used with astringent antiperspirant drugs, commonly used drugs such as Sischlan Xialu (urotropine solution), adhere to the use.
