OTC OTC drugs:

"External" means pharmaceutical products for external use
Can only be used for external use, not oral, injection, drip or inhalation, only for the surface or some specific mucosal parts of the liquid, semi-solid or solid Chinese medicine, natural medicine, all need to be marked. Such as: nasal drops, eye drops, suppositories, black plaster, ointment, plaster, etc
When self-medication, "double-span drugs" must be selected with OTC logo!
"Double cross drug" is both prescription (RX) and over-the-counter (OTC), the difference is mainly in the indication dose and course of treatment. The "double-span drugs" in chemical drugs are mostly digestive system and antipyretic analgesic drugs.
When carrying out self-medication, it is necessary to choose those with OTC logo and use them reasonably to avoid adverse drugs. If you don't know whether your symptoms are in line with the indications of "double cross drug" over-the-counter drugs, you 'd better consult your doctor first.
Health care products and medicines are very different.
The approval number on the outer packaging of the drug is marked as "National Drug Approval Word 1 letter 8 digits".
There are two kinds of approval numbers on the outer packaging of health food:
1. It was issued by the Ministry of Health before 2003, and the approval numbers are "Wei Food Jian Zi (4-digit year code) No. xxxx" (domestic) and "Wei Food Jian Jin Zi (4-digit year code) No. xxxx" (imported);
2. Issued by the State Food and Drug Administration after 2003, the approval numbers are "National Food and Health word G four-digit year code four-digit sequence number" (domestic) and "National Food and Health word J four-digit year code four-digit sequence number" (imported).
