What efforts have humans made to stop sweating?
The ancient Egyptians not only often used "incense bath", but also used spices to spray on the armpits to eliminate the unpleasant smell. This traditional behavior was continued by the Greeks and later spread to ancient Rome.
In 600 BC, the Phoenicians invented a soap with a clean scent, which gradually replaced the liquid bath and deodorant.
The ancients in China discovered the antiperspirant effect of mulberry leaves a long time ago, and there was a record of "removing cold, heat and sweating" in the "Shen Nong's Materia Herb--
Picking the buds of mulberry trees, drying them and beating them into powder, and sending them with rice soup on an empty stomach has a good effect on excessive sweating.
In the Ming and Qing dynasties, more and more medical classics proved that mulberry leaf was a magic medicine for blindly stopping sweat, so mulberry leaf was known as "the wonderful product of collecting sweat".
There are also many reports of the application of mulberry leaves in the treatment of hyperhidrosis in medical journals in China in the past 20 years. The rutin and quercetin contained in mulberry leaves can maintain normal capillary resistance and reduce permeability to play an antiperspirant role.
Scientists discovered the existence of human sweat glands in the 18th century. The earliest body odor deodorant was developed in 1888 and called "Mum"; 15 years later, the first antiperspirant "Everdry" began to be sold in 1903.
In Europe, the first deodorant products appeared in the late 19th century; it mainly used zinc oxide to inhibit the action of microorganisms and sweat to produce odor.
