There are two types of sweat glands in the human body
One is an exocrine gland, also known as an eccrine sweat gland. It is distributed on the skin of the trunk and limbs, secreting 99% water and 0.5% salt. The other is apocrine glands, also known as apocrine glands, which are located in the deep layers of the skin and the fat layer. The sweat gland ducts open in the upper 1/3 of the hair follicle, and a few open directly on the surface of the skin. Generally distributed in the armpits, genitals and eyebrows, will secrete a thicker liquid, and contains oil, protein and iron and other ingredients. This is the objective condition of causing body odor.
In fact, many people who have body odor troubles have no odor in their sweat, just because the proportion of fatty acids in their sweat is relatively high, which contains more substances that are easily decomposed by bacteria, and the sweat will be more turbid and pale yellow than ordinary people. Because the armpit skin is warm and humid, inconvenient ventilation, there are often a large number of bacteria breeding, when the sweat of the large sweat glands excreted to the skin surface, these bacteria (mainly staphylococci) decompose to produce unsaturated fatty acids, which issued a bad smell, like the foxes out of the gas odor.
Body odor-prone crowd
1. Youth
Pre-adolescent children do not have body odor. Because the apocrine glands are not yet mature, the secretory function is not turned on. By puberty, the secretion of the gonads is strong, and the secretion of the body surface glands of young people will be higher than that of other people, especially those with oily skin. The body odor will be much stronger than that of ordinary people, and it is easy to have body odor.
2. Women
More surprisingly, there are more women than men with body odor. Because there are more than 50% more secretory glands on the body surface of women than men, these glands are concentrated around the genitals, armpits, anus and navel. When the body is developed, under the regulation of mental factors, hormone levels, environmental climate and other factors, the secretion of these glands often makes some parts of women form a moist and warm environment, which becomes the "culture medium" for bacteria, promoting the growth and decomposition of bacteria, easy to produce body odor and body odor.
3. People with body odor genes
According to research statistics, body odor is not contagious, but it is obviously hereditary. Therefore, 80% of people with both parents have body odor will inherit it. If only one parent has body odor, the probability of inheritance is 5.
